REM phase is a project I created in 2023. It is an interactive virtual installation joining artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and classical mediums such as oil painting. In every one of the five interiors in the sequence is a painting representing a stereotypical dream topic: a dream about flying, dream about falling down, dream about being followed, dream about killing somebody, and a dream about being killed. These dreams were found out to be the most often occurring through an online questionnaire research. The references for the images were generated using artificial intelligence, altered, and painted on large format canvases. Every interior represents the dream itself by interior design, animation, and sound design, resulting in a virtual reality video emulating the feeling of a dream.
